I Live and work in Glasgow, Scotland in Information Technology (mainly Software Development) and have been active in many different industries from Medical Informatics, to Transport Technology, Banking and Finance and Pharmaceuticals.

But as this blog is about books, I can say that I have been a lover of books since I was a very small child and have purchased books since I was about 10 years old.  I have most of the books I have ever purchased and they have furnished my mind in so many ways. I have a special interest in Science Fiction as well as Fantasy (of the Tolkien and Pratchett bent rather than Gor). I started collecting hardback SF&F books about 20 years and have a small collection in one bookcase. All the rest of my books are strewn about a box-room which serves as the library, computer room, server room, workshop, storage room and cat sleeping room.

Oh, and I like cats too, though we have never bought one, as they have always found us and moved in.
